Hotel Crescent Court is a luxury hotel and spa located in the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Originally opened in 1986, the hotel underwent a significant renovation in 2018 to update its facilities and enhance the guest experience. As part of this renovation, Morrison Architectural Sign Company was selected to provide new signage throughout the hotel.

The design team at Focus EGD approached Morrison with a unique challenge: to create room signs that incorporated LED-illuminated acrylic panels. These signs needed to meet ADA requirements while also allowing for easy maintenance in case a panel was damaged or a light needed replaced. Morrison developed several prototypes to refine the design and ensure it met all requirements before proceeding with full production.

Since the hotel remained open during the renovation, careful planning was required to minimize disruption to guests. Renovations were done by floor over a span of several months. Morrison coordinated closely with the hotel’s management team to schedule installations during off-peak hours, and the general contractor to ensure deliverables were provided as each floor was ready.
