The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is an all-ages experiential science museum on the edge of downtown Dallas, featuring 180,000 square feet of exhibit space across five floors. Designed by the design firm Pentagram, Morrison produced and installed the initial code-required and wayfinding signage for the museum .
Clean, simple room signs for support spaces recede into the background of the dramatic building designed by Morphosis Architects. Visitors’ attention is drawn to dimensional directional signs that emerge from walls and wrap corners. A mix of aluminum letterforms and vinyl graphics recognize financial contributors to the museum.
Additional signage needs were identified after the museum opened to the public. Morrison continued to work with the museum on supplementary signage ranging from navigational and exhibit-themed signage to new donor recognition.
